St Monica’s Pre-School Weekly Newsletter
Friday 15th November 2019
This week started off with showing respect for the veterans as the children took part in poppy related crafts and participated in a minutes silence.
The children have been practicing very hard for our joint EYFS Nativity. This will definitely be an event not to be missed.
The highlight of this week stemmed from the children’s interest of looking after their dolls. This led us to turn our role play area into a doctors surgery which was created from the children’s own experiences and ideas. Let the amazing role play commence!
Nursery Rhyme Week 18th-22nd November
Next week children are welcome to come to pre-school throughout the week dressed as their favourite nursery rhyme character. The week will be filled with nursery rhyme related activities and songs.
Wacky Hair Day
We are looking forward to Wacky Hair Day on Friday 22nd November. Feel free to use your imagination to create some weird and wonderful hairstyles in exchange for a bottle – the wackier the better!
The school is holding the Christmas Fayre on Friday 29th December at 2pm. Historically pre-school have always done a stall at this event. If you would like to get involved and can spare an hour, please let a member of staff know.
A Miracle in Town Nativity
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to help escort the children to and from church on either Monday 2nd Dec at 2pm or Tuesday 3rd December also at 2pm. Also if you would like to help out with making and selling Christmas crafts to raise money for pre-school please get in touch.
The deadline for ordering pre-school photos is Friday 15th November. If you have not yet ordered your child’s photo, please order online at www.kphotographic.co.uk or send your order forms into pre-school as Kate the photographer will be collecting all orders next week.
Please remember every Tuesday morning Striker Academy are in the school hall from 9am to deliver free Mini Monica’s physical activity sessions. Please come along and bring friends and family and join in the fun.
Linking Our Learning
Staff and children look forward to hearing all about your exciting news. Please continue to share on Tapestry as this is helping to develop your child’s confidence in speaking out in group situations.
Thank you for your continued support.
