Weekly Newsletter Friday 17th July 2020

Dear Families,

I hope this friendly letter finds you all safe and well.

We have had a fantastic week at preschool, we have been continuing to prepare to reception. We have had some lovely, spontaneous learning opportunities this week. Following the children’s interests, we have explore the Titanic, lady birds and teeth.

Again, this week as the weather is so unpredictable at the moment please ensure you send your child with the appropriate clothing and footwear. Raincoats and hats are essentials every day as we do not want to restrict children from being outdoors. Over the next few weeks, we will be promoting sun safety as we get closer to gaining our accreditation for being a sun safe setting.  You will be pleased to know that all staff will also be following the guidelines and wearing hats too. Please do not send umbrellas into preschool as they can’t be used to shield from the rain while playing outdoors. Thank you for your support.

Summer Stay and Plays

We are hoping to run some stay and play sessions over the summer. These either be a morning session or an afternoon session and will include a snack. The cost will be £5 per session per child. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we will be unable to allow parents to stay. Date to be confirmed next week. Please let us know if you would like to book.

The invitations have gone out via email for the celebration/graduation picnic. Please accept my apologies for the typo regarding the date. I can confirm that it is Tuesday 28th July 2020, 1.30pm-3.00pm. Please RSVP by 20th July 2020 so we can plan effectively.

Please log in to tapestry and download your child’s learning journeys.

Thank you for the lovely feedback we have received regarding the reports staff are very grateful.

We have recently introduced Makaton signing with

Mr Tumble. The children have really enjoyed learning the song Aunt Polly had a dolly. We have also been

learning to sign different types of food and animals.

I have added the links below for you to have a look,

I’m sure the children will be able to teach you a few!
